1. Prepare Your Pen:

• Ensure your Ozempic® pen contains clear and colorless medication.
• Attach a new needle by removing the paper tab, securely pushing and turning the needle until tight, and removing both needle caps.

2. Check the Ozempic® Flow:

• Rotate the dose selector until the dose counter displays the flow check symbol.
• Press and hold the dose button until the counter shows 0 and ensure a drop appears at the needle tip.

3. Select Your Dose:

• Adjust the dose selector to your required dose:
  • Red-label pen: 0.25 mg or 0.5 mg
  • Blue-label pen: 1 mg
  • Yellow-label pen: 2 mg

4. Inject Your Dose:

• Choose an injection site (abdomen, thigh, or upper arm) and clean it with an alcohol swab.
• Insert the needle into your skin, press and hold down the dose button.
• Once the dose counter reads 0, count slowly to 6, then remove the needle.

5. After Your Injection:

• Dispose of the used needle safely in a sharps container.
• Replace the pen cap securely on the pen.

Remember:

• Administer Ozempic® subcutaneously, not into a muscle or vein.
• Rotate injection sites for each dose to avoid repetition.
• If you miss a dose, take it within 5 days of the missed dose. Consult your healthcare provider if needed.
