Magnus Pharmaceuticals Tamoxifen 10mg 100tab 10mg/tab
Tamoxifen, categorized as an anti-oestrogen medication, is primarily utilized in the treatment of breast cancer.
Contents:
Each tablet contains 10mg (100 tablets).
Side Effects:
Tamoxifen 10mg Tablets may induce side effects in some individuals, though not everyone experiences them. Occasional adverse reactions may include stomach or gut upsets, headaches, light-headedness, menstrual disturbances, hot flushes, genital itching, vaginal discharge or bleeding, fluid retention, hypertriglyceridemia (elevated fat levels in the blood) possibly accompanied by pancreatitis (abdominal pain or tenderness), skin rashes or itching, hair thinning, or lung inflammation (manifesting with symptoms akin to pneumonia, such as breathlessness and cough).
Additional potential events encompass changes in vision, cataracts, corneal or retinal alterations, increased clotting risk, heightened bruising tendency, ovarian cysts, liver complications like jaundice, and effects on the endometrium (womb lining), which may manifest as pelvic discomfort or vaginal bleeding. Promptly inform your doctor if you experience any unusual vaginal bleeding, menstrual irregularities, vaginal discharge, or pelvic discomfort while taking tamoxifen or thereafter, as certain endometrial changes, including malignancies, may occur.
During initial breast cancer treatment, disease symptoms may exacerbate, such as heightened pain or tissue enlargement. Notify your doctor promptly if you encounter excessive nausea, vomiting, or thirst, as these may signal fluctuations in blood calcium levels requiring assessment. Although the list of potential events may seem daunting, not all individuals may experience them.
If you encounter any other adverse effects or suspect tamoxifen to be the cause of any issues, promptly inform your doctor or pharmacist.
Cease tamoxifen intake and seek immediate medical attention in the following scenarios:
Difficulty breathing with or without swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and/or throat.
Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and/or throat, hindering swallowing.
Swelling of the hands, feet, or ankles.
Urticaria (‘nettle rash’ or ‘hives’)."
